And adverse reactions can range from very mild to very severe. To deny that any of his patients have had some reaction is unethical, in my mind. The pharmaceutical companies themselves list common and rare reactions.

@normahorn totally agree. As I said the ignorance (or dishonesty) of doctors on the subject of side effects is mystifying. I don't trust them and talk to a pharmacist instead. Even the endo I like says things like "I haven't heard that from anyone else" when the effect I mentioned is clearly on the online list. All they have to do is google drugs.com or look at the actual drug inserts to validate our experience.

I think being female makes it worse. I am reading a great book "The Lady's Handbook for her Mysterious Illness" that hits the nail on the head.
