If any provider should tell me that NONE of their patients have had a negative side effect, I would immediately lose any confidence in them that I might have had. I will accept that none have had a major side effect but not their denying any effect. I would also accept that very few had a negative effect. Being less that totally honest is not something I want in a provider. Why then should I trust them on anything!

@normahorn 100%

@ willow5 so your femoral neck on both sides have osteoporosis (mild) and the impending surgery explains why you are being put on Evenity and why it is being covered.

My friend has met with several surgeons about a hip replacement and none have mentioned bone density. She is late 70's and has never had a DEXA scan (she asked me what it was). I will pass your info on @willow5. Very helpful!

My rheumatologist also told me that none of his patients had side effects from osteo meds when I asked. He recommended Evenity, Forteo, and Tymlos, but strongly suggested to go with Evenity. And then I found this forum and realize that too many people experience some type of reaction that I know now he wasn't truthful. Plus he's got a really big practice and infusion center and sees a lot of patients, so I'm thinking how could this be?
