Which one to choose: Evenity, Tymlos or Forteo?
I have serious osteoporosis for years and finally decide to start treatment after my L1 compression fracture.
My endocrinologist suggested:
1. Evenity
2. Tymlos or Forteo
I'm scared of their side effects and don't know which one to choose.
Appreciate your opinions as well as pros and cons

Hi @ninglike great choice of medication!
A medicine cooler like this should be sufficient for most travel:

In case of international travel for which hotel refrigeration is unclear or during extended outdoor ventures, a cooler such as the following will give you peace of mind. This one has temperature control between 37-46F which is displayed on the lid as long as you plug it in. I've used this cooler literally as a handheld "fridge" with power banks during certain travel conditions, very convenient.

Hope you find this info useful.
Dear mayblin,
Thank you sincerely for your great suggestions as well as the speedy reply - very much appreciated!

One more question: those medicine coolers are for Insulin Pens, do they work for Forteo?
One more "side thought" to add to this discussion: There is no generic equivalent to brand name Tymlos, but there are now generic versions of Forteo on the market. So if you start on Tymlos, you don't run the risk of being switched to a generic by your insurance company. (This is important to some people and of no concern to others.)
I am 62, on commercial insurance, and I have a super niche financial reason for keeping track of this: In my state, if there is no generic equivalent for your medication, then any manufacturer's co-pay assistance coupon, e-voucher, etc., that you use MUST count towards your deductible and annual out of pocket maximum (even though it didn't come out of your pocket). In my (admittedly niche) case, this results in my out-of-pocket max being met by February and all of my covered appointments, procedures, and medications costing me $0 for the rest of the year.
Definitely!
I would like to point out that if you use the frozen biogel, you might want to use the thermometer that comes with the package to test the temperature inside the cooler before first use. Manufacturer recommends to leave the frozen biogel thats fresh out of freezer in room temperature for 5-10min before placing it in the cooler otherwise temperature inside might be too cold for the pen. I also tested the length of time the cooler stayed at desired temperature range. If I recall correctly, the one I bought provides ~17hours of desired temperature.
Forteo is such an important drug that it is worth all the trouble, if we think these are "troubles" at all. With the lift of 2-year usage limit, it plays a key role in the long term management of osteoporosis should one need repeated boost in bone density in the future. Moreover, in the event that one needs aids in fracture healing or oral surgery/implants - you know you have Forteo to count on. Keep a record of your bone turnover makers (if you decide to do them) and get annual dxa preferably with tbs. You have a solid tool on hand.
I kept my Tymlos cool to make it last longer than 30 days, and have a kid with type 1 diabetes whose insulin I also had to keep cool. I just used an ordinary insulated bag with an ice pack wrapped in a hand towel. I was more afraid of making meds too cool to be honest. One time I left Tymlos in a hot car by mistake and the company replaced it- one time allowed they said.

Dear mayblin,
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation!
The 2 medicine coolers you recommended are both TSA-approved cooler that can be as Carry on to the airplane, right?
Also do you need to bring Dr's note to pass the airport security check as Carry on?
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice.

Dear windyshores,
Thanks for your sharing!
Could you elaborate more about "ordinary insulated bag"?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
Best regards
Ning
The kind grocery stores like Whole Foods have. I was kind of making the point that it doesn't have to be fancy or expensive! But for TSA the special medicine coolers might be more appropriate.
