I had a great tkr. Just the usual post op pain and PT. I am 5 years post tkr and the has done very well. Very important to research the available osteoporosis surgeons
Ask around, question.ake sure you have a list of questions to ask the surgeon during consult: how many tkr have you performed, how many years, infection rate, if I have a problem after surgery how will you handle it, who is my care team and phone numbers (,info like this should be available to you) I had no idea what a normal tkr should flow so I contacted the team a number of times to see if my experiences post op were normal or?
I used very few of the opioids then had extra strength Tylenol. Never used a walker or crutches after my first day at home.
