@vafan, welcome. I moved your question about rheumatoid arthritis running in families (genetic) to the Autoimmune Diseases support group where you can connect with other members who have experience with RA. I'm sad to see that his has affected such young members of your family.

@vafan, do you know if your family members have HLA class II genotype? Have you met with a genetic counsellor to discuss?

Thank you for your reply. No, we haven't but it's probably a good idea. The members of the family are me, two granddaughters, a 6 year old great grandson and a 3 year old great granddaughter. It breaks my heart but they are coping. These are all from my daughter who does not have the disease. Thank you again for your info.
