Has anyone had a knee ‘revision”?

Thank you for responding. Sounds like you did everything right. How disappointing to still have pain. My surgeon said, “I will tell you, the recovery is worse than the original replacement”. I cannot imagine it being worse. I had the original implanted knee mid September. It was mid March when I was finally finished with therapy. Had to have knee ‘manipulated’ at 2weeks out because I couldn’t get it to bend. I expect this to be better. I am doing the pre-surgery exercises to strengthen the muscles. The first one lasted 17 years.

Take what the doctor tells you with a grain of salt, as in my case the revision was better than the original surgery. I've had so much mis-information over the last 7 years that I've lost some confidence in the medical community. I've replied in the past to other comments with the title "it's a crap shoot," meaning there is always risk. Orthopedists do as they are trained to do hoping for a good outcome, there are no guarantees. Some have a better record than others but all have failures.
I say, go for it. The stats are on your side. Good luck!
