I was treated with Voriconazole for Aspergillus Nidulans. We won’t know if it’s completely gone until I have another Bronchoscopy, which won’t be done until after I do the MAC treatment.

Did you have a cavity as well and what strain of MAC do you have? Both my Pulmonolist and NJH did not waver on the full 6 months treatment but felt Aspergillus was more important to be treated first in my case of course. My sputum samples were all coming back Negative for 13 months for Fungus and MAC but the Bronchoscopy found both which was surprising and quite disappointing. It is always a roller coaster but I try to stay very Positive and Focused on trying my best and that is all any of us can do.
