My doctors recommend annual flu and Covid, which I already was doing. They also wanted me to get the pneumonia vaccine, though I am under the age at which they generally recommend, but given the BE/MAC, they thought it important, so I got that this fall. They did not recommend RSV, my understanding is that even with lung disease I am below the age threshold recommended for RSV. But only by a couple years so not really sure why they draw the line there. But I generally still mask inside when in public, never dropped the habit since Covid, and haven’t had a respiratory virus since (knocking on wood!) so not going to push for the RSV, at least not yet. I did get the shingles vaccine earlier this year, before I was aware of the BE/MAC. I am not sure I would make that same choice today. I am not vaccine adverse, obviously, but do think each vaccine needs to be individually evaluated for risk v. benefits.
