It was 1957. A tiny white dot grownups called Sputnik raced across the evening sky.
Dad, big brother and I were standing on the hill behind our yard when we it.
It being the Sputnik dot cross the evening sky
Sputnik exited the world, while enchanting my four year old mind
Something good was happening, grown ups called it scientific advancement
I called it hope
its 2024 and those scientific advancements are still happening
I am waiting on a place in my mind I call PC palliative hill

That was a beautiful post. Sputnik was 7 years before I joined this world, but I remember watching the moon landing as a small child, so I know exactly what you mean. I feel like there are thousands of researchers working to support me.
