I was unable to edit city to ‘see’ sorry. By sponsored, I mean, you want to make sure whoever posts a rating for a surgeon is not the surgeon himself, or hospital who would get some money from the surgery he does. It needs to be done by the AMA or patient themselves. That kind of survey will, give you an Objective opinion of who ranks someone the best in any field. Focusing on this aspect of your husband’s healing might help you switch your attention From the negatives to the positive actions you can take now. Glad your injuries were fixable, but sounds like you have been through even more trauma than I first thought. You’re trying to heal yourself to the fullest while you’re also trying to be strong for your husband. That’s not easy so don’t be hard on yourself, excuse yourself to go get some coffee or visit the restroom when you need a good cry. One thing that helps me get through the day is to stand up and face outside, raise my arms, stretch all over and as I lower my arms I list my biggest blessings. I am blessed , with this, this, and that, grin as big as you can and it will help endorphins spread through your body because of the pressure on your face. I’m 79 and I’ve coped with a lot of things, and being grateful and reminding myself of blessings every day first thing has been the biggest help help to get me through each day , at least it’s a good start. They say keeping a journal helps too, you could acknowledge your fears, knowing nobody else is reading it. There’s probably a book in this story somewhere…
Thank you for all of that. The info and the advice. All the of the info is useful because I have never dealt with anything like this. Other than the accident we were both in and I got lucky in that the doctor was able to save and reconstruct my leg.
When you say sponsors..what do you mean? And sending the documents to CITY? I’ll have to look up these terms in context of medical procedures.
And do I just call the hospital and say I want to speak with the advice nurse or get in contact with the urology department? And then tell them the situation?
This sounds all dumb just asking, i just don’t know.
Thank you for your time and reminder to show up for him with no fear or sadness. That has caught me three times these last two weeks and I had to dismiss myself from his room because I just could not hold myself together.
