@happy2023 if you have fractures, I am wondering why Reclast is being prescribed. Do you know? Ask your doctor about Evenity, which can act fast to actually build bone, at least n the first months. I have a friend who went from -4.1 to -2.5 which is an incredible gain.

Evenity is generally followed by Reclast which can "lock in gains" from Evenity and continues to build bone by lowering turnover.

The problem with doing Reclast now is that 1) it won't build new bone the way Evenity does and won't work as quickly as Evenity 2) it will reduce effectiveness of Evenity in the future (according to McCormick's "Great Bones" and various videos including those of Dr. Ben Leder).

I did Tymlos then Evenity (4 months) and am now on Reclst. It does build bone density. My friends all do fine on it. There are side effects for some. Many of us have a fluish reaction to the first infusion but that tends not to recur.

I hope you can talk to your doctor about Evenity. I also have fractures so I can relate!
