@wilsonanderson LC since 9/2020. My worst symptoms, among many!, for the first couple years was random heart rate spikes [as high as 200bpm] with/without exertion and dips [as low as 40bpm usually following the high spike] accompanied by shortness of breath and chest pain/pressure. My resting heart rate was 80’s-90’s when in the before it was 60’s-70’s. I had a Tilt Table Test done and was diagnosed with “Postural Orthostatic Hypotension”. My symptoms with that sound very much like what you’ve explained about your BP. I never fainted, but, whether in my kitchen or aisle of a store, I was known to slide down to the floor, before I had a chance to faint or fall. I’m on automatic pilot, now, when I go into a room looking for a chair to sit on or wall to lean on. A little over a year ago my COVID Recovery Clinic doc prescribed a low dose of Metoprolol to see if it would level out my heart rate issues without lowering my BP. For me, it was like a miracle drug. Immediately my episodic HR spikes/dips ceased and my resting HR was and remained back down to 60’s-70’s. Certainly worth discussing with your doc to see if it might work its wonder on you. My best to you in a complete recovery and return to a thriving life.

I’ll do some homework, never come across Metoprolol, so will have to see if we have it in Uk, or known by a different name. Yes today was in a supermarket without any chairs/ benches yet it’s larger one where I live has quite a few…wretched covid not only gave me my symptoms but also took seats away! I will know I am better when I can cook a family favourite cauliflower and macaroni cheese, without diving for the chair every minute and also taking 2 to 3 times the time to make! Good health.
