Can a gurgling stomach be another side effect from chemo treatment?
It's over 70 days after the last chemo treatment, just started on
maintenance treatment with AVASTIN. I still have neuropathy in hands and feet, no meds are presscriped, fluctuating, short lasting pain which can pop up everywhere, changes in finger nails (ridges), now my
stomach gurgles, the diet is the same, I mainly notice it when sitting
or in bed. Is it another symptom caused by Chemo meds? Did you have such an experience?

After chemo, I developed gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). So the possibility is there. This is something only a clinician can diagnose.
one year post chemo treatment. I been taking an otc acid reducer pill from the beginning. Haven't had any stomach problems. As for nails, my Doc said the ridges are marking each treatment. After one year, the nail on my big toe has almost completely grown back. Hair on my head grew back, but only barely have eye lashes. No disrespect to anyone but some of the side effects are funny to me. Best to all.
thanks for the reply about the stomach question, do you follow the instruction on the meds package ? What made you take the acid reducer from the start? My nails look fine, a little bit rosier, you
notice the ridges,Beau lines, only when you know what to look for. I read that nails can change color or be lost as a side effect. Good news about the nail, was it painful when you lost it, was it a slow process? Most of my side effects have been painful and some scary but I'm slowly getting better about 2 months after chemo.
thank you, if symptoms continue or get worse I will make an appointment-
not sure why on the acid reducer, I do have celiac so might be why they say to take. As for the nail, both nails on big toes ended up falling off, yes was slow over time. And sometimes after treatment, I would curl up in bed and just hang on. Was sometimes hard, just had to push through it. Eating at times was rough, sometimes just something that would slide down and drank energy drinks to help keep weight on. I always figured the treatment was better then the pain I had at the time. Best on your journey.
thanks, I needed the reminder about the benefits of treatment
