Sept 16, I received Durane gel in both knees, the only gel authorized by my insurance company. I had received gel injections at Rejuvinix a few years ago, three injections over three weeks with no issues. This time the next day both knees hurt, it was hard to walk. Each day the pain moved around settling in my left hip. Oct 31 my knee doctor injected steroids in right knee, no relief like I got in the past. After two months I have stiffness in my legs, pain in right knee and lower back and am unable to walk very far without using a cane. It’s Dec 27, I have no pain while sitting or sleeping, stiffness when I stand and pain when I walk. This has severely affected my normal activities. I am very unsteady on my feet and fear falling. I am taking zaniflex at night and celebrix in the day, they only take the edge off but do not make it easier to walk. Dr ordered X-ray lumbar spine, no issues found. Scheduled for MRI in Jan. I get massage every two weeks and Chiropractor adjustment every three weeks. None of my Drs or therapists have any idea what to do. Sheila

Did your knee situation ever resolve after the durolane? I am considering trying it. I have read that due to the heavy viscocity of the gel, if any of it is injected into the skin, people have serious pain for months. Also advised to aspirate the knee first then use ultra sound or fluoroscopy to make SURE the needle is in the right place before injection.

I am looking for others who have used Durolane.

Thanks
