Happy Thanksgiving, Irene! I don't know that the Monarch or other magnet vests would be any safer for that, honestly. I got the Monarch because of its portability and the fact I could even use it in the car if I wanted to (and have done it). But it's fairly heavy, so that can be a drawback for people. Also, some folks who've used both a traditional vest and the Monarch prefer traditional. It's the only vest I've ever used, so I can't offer that comparison. For me, it's been great.

I use smart vest, and it does not bruise rib or cause pain.
