How long does it take for esophageal biopsy result to come in?
My brother had dysphagia, esophagoscopy was done and biopsy taken, how long we will have to wait for biopsy result? thanks

it should be fast. I had my results before I left recovery. but places are different. no news is good news .
My biopsy results (positive) came within 24 hrs.
I had to wait over a month for the Pathologist’s final biopsy diagnosis.
I had to wait 10 days for pathology report
We usually see pathology results in about 3 days on the MyChart portal. On the most recent endoscopy, it was 10 days. The specimens were sent out to another lab for special stains and that's why it took so much longer than usual. Nerve racking having to wait
