I had about 10 laser treatments on my feet and they cut down my pain about 50%. I’m hoping to receive more.

Thank you,

My neuropathy improves with pressure against my feet. Feet are happiest when firmly against the floor or when I am wearing compression socks. I then feel more sure footed. Worst times can be at night when in the prone position. I like my feet weighted with a heavy pillow at night.

I have been using a Bemer which improves my circulation. A Bemer uses magnetic impulse therapy and it is FDA approved for blood circulation to the smallest peripheral capillaries in the body. I know that it helps with my walking and have been using it for about 5 years. I am also interested in trying cold laser therapy to encourage nerve regeneration.

I do some yoga but balance is a real issue.

I think that I started becoming aware of neuropathy about 15 years ago. I am now 83. I am not a diabetic.

Ann

This is reassuring...My foot is just the same. How did you find the BEMER/Pemf therapy/device?

Hi @mikween, I would like to invite @crystalgal, @dbentley, @johnbishop, @swiss, and @hoot as they have all discussed laser therapy in some form in regards to their neuropathy diagnosis.

@mikween, have you discussed this therapy with your medical provider, or are you asking due to your own research?

I received an email from our local orthopedic group that they are starting to offer Laser Therapy. So I have started researching it. I don’t have a problem with cost if it works and is permanent but am having trouble finding anyone who has used the therapy. With fibromyalgia and post surgery neuropathy and multiple back surgeries, I am in pain somewhere.

I have diabetic neuropathy for 3 years. All my toes are completely numb. I have a lot of burning in my feet. Sometimes I have pins and needles. My feet cannot feel the difference between hot and cold water. My feet are very sensitive when I put my blanket over it. I have seen 2 neurologists and physical therapist. I tried gabapentin which did nothing for me. I tried rebuilder 300, led therapy and red light therapy at home which didn't do much. For 3 years, my neuropathy has been getting worse and worse with no improvement. Recently in Oct 2024, I started to have trouble balancing my feet and going for long walk. It has affected my life so much that I can't do exercise anymore, cannot walk much anymore, and always have to depend on taking gabapentin just to get through every night time while sleeping. I found Restore Podiatry last month through their online ad. I decided to give a try their neuropathy laser. I did 24 sessions of both laser treatment and shockwave treatment and paid almost $6,000. After my 4th treatment, I stopped taking gabapentin which I was really impressed with. I was so amazed with the difference it has finally has made my neuropathy much better. After 8 weeks, I felt 50% better, I can finally start to feel my feet. I can feel the little difference between hot and cold water. My burning pain went down. My numbness is becoming less that I can starting to feel my nerves are waking up. I walked more than 10 blocks. I can definitely say his laser therapy and shockwave therapy worked wonder for me. I believe my doctor, Dr. Bhela is an definitely expert in his field as he has more than 8 advanced laser therapy. He said laser therapy definitely helps my body to do natural healing to repair nerve damage and increase the blood flow to my nerve and can do nerve regeneration. I can tell my body is healing my damaged nerve and I am hoping to heal as much as possible. I don't think I can heal 100% because I have neuropathy for too long. I think he has probably 6 different laser therapy and 3 shockwave therapy. I am so glad that I made the right decision to do laser therapy. Dr. Bhela is the only doctor who offered multiple laser therapy for neuropathy in Long Island because no other doctor does neuropathy laser therapy near my home for almost 30 miles. I am very happy with the treatment. I have not taken gabapentin for 2 months so far. I decided to do more laser treatment and see if my body can continue healing my nerve more. If you are in New York, go with Restore Podiatry for their amazing neuropathy laser.
