Good morning. My appointment at Mass General Brigham Womens is not until December 23rd. I am seeing Dr. Manuela Cernadas who is board certified in pulmonary disease, internal medicine and critical care. I just don't know what to expect after reading what people experience at NJH. I feel like my appointment is a consultation and where goes from there I don't know. Where is your appointment on Tuesday? In Maine?

Yes just a follow-up with Dr. Morin. I heard that he will no longer be seeing patients in clinic starting in January, he will be hospital based only. I have no idea who will take his place or what to expect.
Looks like it took 4 months for you to get an appointment! I should have insisted on a referral at my last appointment but we were going to be starting the nebulizing so he thought it best to wait so I had more helpful information when I do get a referral. One day at a time, keep advocating for what we need. Has the nebulizing and vest helped you?

I have been seeing Dr Cernadas for 18 months.
She has a pleasant manner and is knowledgable
I was post treatment for MAC so no major crises yet
Re Mass general, both Christopher Richards pulmonary and Rocio Hurtado infectious disease are excellent

I am in Rhode Island and saw Dr. Cernadas for the first time in September. She is very thorough. She has been good about contacting me about test results and also explaining them. You will not regret making the trip from Maine to see her.
