@autumnwarriorsr

Got the results of my first post treatment CT scan this week. Tumor has shrunk by 50%. Medical oncologist said what he saw was either less cancer or scar tissue. Will definitively have an answer after my 1st post treatment pet scan scheduled for 12/27 and will get the results on 1/3/25 from my radiation oncologist. I am not a candidate for immunotherapy due to my heart conditions. So I am hopeful this is scar tissue.

@autumnwarriorsr, that sounds like good news for now! 50% is a good start.
Our lungs are sensitive, and scar tissue isn't out of the question, but it can make reading scans difficult. I have a spot that shows up near my original tumor. At first, they weren't sure if it was cancer, but it hasn't changed in years, so everyone believes that it's scar tissue. Best of luck with your PET!
