Tramadol Helps with Exhaustion
Besides the constant pain, the exhaustion of trying to carry around 2 dead, numb legs (I call logs) exhausts me until I can do nothing. My neurologist prescribed a minimal dose of Tramadol for pain, but it is wonderfully effective at giving me some ENERGY so I can just do simple basic tasks. Anyone else either have this extreme fatigue or a Tramadol experience?

You are lucky - I finally tried Tramadol for on going pain ( back , RA, leg atrophies etc) Did nothing! I was actually relieved as I am already ‘addicted’ to prednisone (5 mg normally) and didn’t care for another addition.
Yes! I often feel like my legs are logs - don’t know why - there are so many possibles. I have muscle atrophy due to RA ( glutes and other) and 30+years of prednisone. Tramadol didn’t help ant all - but I was anfraid of it too. And it isn’t every day that the logs happen, but walking is always hard.- but makes me a big fall risk. And yes exhausting! But pain is exhausting - even to keep a smile on your face.
But do.
What do you call a low dosage of tramadal?
Coming from an addict in recovery, there is a definite difference between addiction and dependence. Please look up "drug dependence versus drug addiction" if you are not familiar. If a side effect of tramadol is increased energy, and you are taking the medication as prescribed, consider yourself fortunate. If you find yourself taking two, three, or more when one is prescribed to meet the goal of increased energy, please beware!
