celia16, I am sure my doctor who had double pneumonia took the pnuemonia vaccine. BUT, with that said, he is exposed to a lot of sick people. The little boy I am sure did not get the pneumonia vaccine.
I would think in general the pneumonia vaccine would have worked, but, this is a different type of pneumonia and I don't know if the pneumonia vaccine covers this different type of pneumonia. I truly don't know how to answer this question for you.....I'm sorry.

Thank you so much! I am concerned with the risks when I go to the gym most days. I hope those there are healthy and wouldn’t come sick. I guess there are risks with most things, though. I may resume mask wear if there is an uptick here.
