Dry eyes can cause blurry vision but several other autoimmune disorders can cause blurry vision caused by inflammation of the iris ( iritis/uveitis). This can be seen on opthalamic exam. The RF factor elevation should warrant another blood test (CCP) which often is positive in early rheumatoid arthritis sometimes before RF becomes positive. I think the rheumatologist will do all the usual in depth tests for autoimmune diseases to help determine what’s going on. Initial treatment for most of these disorders is often the same so treatment can be started for symptom relief even before a specific diagnosis is nailed down. I hope your new doctor is kind, caring and thorough in assessing you!

It’s common for British and offspring of British people to have blurry eyes. Dry eyes. I was advised to wet a facecloth with very warm water, wring it out then hold it over the eyes for 5-10 minutes. Do that a couple of times a day. It made a huge difference to me.
