neuropathy in feet

Posted by elawrie46 @elawrie46, 5 days ago

I have nerve damage in my feet. Does anyone have this problem? When I start to walk my feet make me go forward at a quick momentum, almost like running and not able to stop. Has anyone heard of this problem?

Yes, my gait is highly increased. Almost like running forward at times. Or sometimes I freeze for a second or two and studder forward. It's really weird. I can't figure it out.

I have neuropathy in my feet & I think it affects my balance & gait. Doe this happen to you?

It definitely did happen to me. I was fortunate that a local medical center offered a physical and occupational therapy program designed for chemotherapy patients. It helped greatly with regaining my balance and my walking.

I was hoping it would take away the pain and annoyance of the neuropathy, It didn't, but I'm happy for what it did,

Again, my neuropathy is from chemo treatments. I plead ignorance about other types.

I am having the same problem-numbness in both feet , symmetric. Doctors guess it is from l 5 compression fracture of one year ago. With it I cannot risk driving. No other symptoms! Not diabetic nor b12 deficient.
