Hello, I wanted to let you know I've had my reveal link for almost three years, there was only slight discomfort at first then over a few days time I forgot it was even in my body! Hope your procedure goes well! Take care!

Thank you so much! Any positive responses will help ease the anxiety. What about the actual insertion? Scary, painful?

I got it a week ago. Do you have any problems travelling abroad or taking a plane? Our commercial insurance companies deny health insurance for holter holders traveling abroad. I was also denied the MRI of my injured arm by two health institutions, although the producer of the ICM says it is safe. .

That sounds kind of funky about the insurance company -- but I've never traveled in a plane or anything yet. You should be able to get an MRI though there are some limitations as to how the MRI is done. You should refer your institution to call the Medtronic number direct to get all the particulars for an MRI.

Thank you for your moral support, jj. However, in my country there is not enough competition which would make insurance companies and healthcare providers to bother with ICM holders. They can afford to just deny us their service.

Oh, I see -- I'm sorry that that is the case where you live. That is very unfortunate for you.

Just had my Medtronic monitor implanted in Pensacola, Fl at Baptist Hospital Cath lab last Thursday. No issues so far. I had afib in 2012, then atrial flutter and cardiac ablation in May 2013. No problems since then until recently when my resting heart rate has dropped to 37 bmp while sleeping. Also dizzy, fainting and falling spells. Have had some chest pain, hesitant to use patient transmitter. BHC is affiliated with Mayo Clinic, and my EP doctor is one of top EP doctors. He put a pacemaker in my wife in 2014, due to irregular heart beat. I was told cost would be about $ 30k, but i have medicare and Tricare for Life, so no copay! I also have hypertension, controlled by 3 different medications. May have to have pacemaker/defrib, if conditions warrant it.. Gee, the ICM is smaller than a small USB device!
Love Slovenia, polka, Navahanke, the mountains and the people.

Nice to hear from somebody who knows Slovenija. I am OK now with ICM but I have terrible time weaning mysef off Nexium I have been taking for 15 years. It seems that nexium is the source of my problem with faintings. It's the sixth week now and it seems to me that I shall succed. However, the first days od depriving nexium were awful with lots of heart events. And I also experience funny events with ICM: during storms with lots of lightings my heart becomes crazy as if ICM would serve as aerial. Is it possible?
