As guys get diagnosed & go searching for support groups like this, we find ourselves bewildered by acronyms that unfortunately become part of our lives, so get thrown into discussions as second nature.

But it would be helpful for the newly-diagnosed (and their partners) to have an easy reference that quickly explains some of these terms.

For me, my MRI came back saying that I have "a PI-RADS 4 lesion in the right apex, quite significant on the B2000 imaging."
Í had to ask Google for the bad news.
Biopsy confirmed cancer etc etc.

Would someone be able to compile a quick list of translations for this stuff (not sure if you can make it "sticky", for the top of the page)

Scary terms include:

PSADT
IDC
PIRADS
TULSA-PRO
HIFU
ARC
AS
PMSA PET scan
SBRT

Even terms like Gleeson - and the difference between 3+4 and 4+3 would be best explained for newbies.

Great idea! That's always the first thing I do with a new project or consulting gig — start a spreadsheet glossary of all their acronyms and jargon. Every group has them.

For my prostate cancer, I have a spreadsheet of what all the different blood tests stand for and what high/low values might indicate, together with comments on my history. It lets me figure out fast every three months if anything's changed.
