Prolia and Hair Loss

I took one dose/injection of Prolia in January 2024. I experienced major hair loss, extreme joint pain, depression, and foggy brain. I did not know I had the latter until I stopped taking the drug and realized my cognitive ability had been impaired. I was only told about jaw necrosis as a side effect, no other side effects. After I did my own research (from medical sites), I realized the other side effects and the serious possibility of spinal fractures if the drug is stopped without going on another osteoporosis drug. I stopped taking Prolia after one injection. I am not advocating this without speaking with your physician, but I felt better mentally, and my joint pain and arthritis improved. For myself, I cannot take a drug that would leave me worse off than before I started them, and that I would have to be on for the rest of my life.
I solved the hair loss problem by taking a vitamin and biotin supplement, Vital Hair Complex by Vital Nutritive. My hair stopped falling out after taking it for one month and started growing in again. I took the supplements for 4 months.
I am now working with a new doctor to improve my bone health with diet and exercise.

I too had bad side effects from one prolia injection- had it in January 2024 and now taking actonel once a week which is better- but have some bloating gastric issues. I am 76 very fit exercise about 14 hours a week- weight bearing etc. I too would like to do it naturally and yes I had hair loss with Prolia. Has the Dr. recommended any special supplements? I was never told there could be a issue when I discontinued Prolia. Is your osteoporosis severe or moderate? Mine is moderate more in the hip neck area. Not spine.
