@kayraymat

I have knee bursitis. Steroid shot & an anti inflammatory did not work.
Like others I use frozen peas wrapped in a towel & it does numb the pain
awhile. I also rub in Volterin/ Walgreen's brand is less expensive & doctor recommended. Also go to the physical therapist which seems smartest since one needs to build muscles.
Had spinal fusion & a hip replacement in 2012 & after physical therapy
could WALK NORMALLY AGAIN!!.....use the Tylenol labeled for arthritis
which may also help. Good luck; don't give up! K

Yes I am at the point I’m ready to get a steroid shot in the hip. Can’t take antinflamatory meds cause of my kidney function. But also am going to get some ointment for external application. You know I read an article you can have your bursa removed with no effect on your joint and within 6 months most people have a new one grow back. Can you believe it? Well I am trying steroid shot first and hoping that works. Thanks for the info and no worry I’ll never give up.😊

Hey by the way did your bursitis bother you more at night than any other time?
