I know this is an older post, but I learned not all of those Dr Fishman yoga poses are safe for osteoporosis. Margaret Martin, PT and osteoporosis expert as well as certified yoga teacher, discusses the flaws in his study and provides info in a book she wrote about yoga and osteoporosis. She also has an excellent website with lots of free info and exercises.

@alphabet Right but Margaret is a PT and he's an MD? I seriously don't know who to trust at this point. Who do we believe. i.e. Stomping - good? bad? I've heard both sides. For me, it's very confusing, and they got a very late start with osteoporosis and knowing what to advise we who have it. There are doctors who say the weighted vests are good and then the ones who say they are bad.

Hi @alphabet, thank you for your post.
I'm familiar with Margaret Martin and I did see her critique of Dr. Fishman's 12 Poses.
For me, it was a matter of deciding who was more credible and I opted for Dr. Fishman.
I've been doing 12 Poses for a few years with no problems. If I don't like how a pose feels, I substitute a different one.
Here's a link to Dr. Fishman's credentials, if you're interested:

Take care, and thank you again.
