Hi, For many years after having gestational diabetes I was told that I was doomed to get full out diabetes within a few years. With a very strict diet and lots of exercise I managed to stay in control for over 25 years and then BAM, full out diabetes 2. It seemed to sky rocket overnight. For many years, with the help of Metformin and Glipizide it stayed under fairly good control while still maintaining a very strict diet and exercise. Then, for some unknown reason it hit terribly high numbers again. I don't know what caused it. So, it blossomed to 10.8 in a couple of months time. My doctor sent me to an Endocrinologist who put me on Mounjaro, Jardiance and Insulin. Now, it's down to 6.8 again. I'm working hard to keep it in control but am now suffering from bouts of hypoglycemia every time I start to do anything in regard to housework, exercise or even just grocery shopping. So, diabetes isn't easily controlled no matter how hard you work. It's always a be careful of everything you eat and do. I hope though that you get yours in total control and that things are less worrisome and difficult for you. Keep us updated.

That seems like a lot of drugs...maybe your doctor was over reacting because 10.8 is pretty high.
