P.S. They may offer injections where the source of pain is to see if they help with inflammation before doing anything more intensive. You may benefit from using Salonpas lidocaine nerve pain patches. Placed them on your lower back and pull them to the side that is hurting the most. This has helped me relieve nerve pain temporarily.

@dlydailyhope I agree with you on the lidocaine patches for temporary relief. Salonpas were the best over the counter option I could find and then my doctor gave me a prescription for the 5% lidocaine patches. Wow, they work so much better!!
