I have just started Softwave in an effort to break up scar tissue after a total knee replacement 18 months ago and low function. The ortho suggested a second surgery to remove scar tissue, seems counter-productive and more pain and expense after I worked VERY hard and consistently on PT. The shockwave treatment clearly is moving fluids. It's a ten minute process...so far so good. I sleep with a bit more comfort. I still have 4 more weeks and will have one treatment per week. The body needs time to heel. New blood flow is clearly moving in the area, so the leg is predictably still stiff. I will not know full results for a while yet.
