maliko, I too am newly diagnosed and have not started antibiotics yet, so I cannot give feedback on side effects. I was told by my doctor that many do need to take some time off of work at least to start the drug protocols and get adapted to the regime. I don't know what resources might be available to you in this regard but some employers offer disability coverage (though this seems to be getting rarer and rarer); in CA we have a short term disability program through the state. Also, side effects may depend on what the drug protocol is, whether daily or 3x a week. I have read 3x a week is more tolerable than daily.
