This year for some reason Veterans Day was difficult for me. I went grocery shopping. There was a lady there selling poppies. My husband was a Korean War Vet, but now he is dead. I looked at her and just burst into tears. She was so kind to me. Eventually I had my cry out and continued into the store to do my shopping. My husband died three years ago, but we had a long marriage. My grief is still profound. Maybe next year I will stay home so not have the triggers.
