Side Effects of Evenity?
I had my 11th injection of Evenity last week. I asked the nurse if any other patients receiving Evenity complained of side effects. He said no. I find this very hard to belive. Would love to hear from those who have experienced side effects.
Mine were mostly felt 12 days after the shots.
Foggy brain for 2-3 days
Low energy
Off balance
Sleep issues
Itchy arms- one time after shot
Red face- a few hours after the shot

I had 11 injections of Evenity and had the following side effects:
1. Pain in some joints in my fingers.
2. Insomnia ( never had any issues sleeping before Evenity)
3. Increasing hair loss
4. Hoarseness in my throat that you could hear in my voice.
5. Right hip pain that continued to get worse.
My bone density showed good results in the spine, but not much improvement elsewhere. I stopped Evenity after the 11th shot this past August and all of my symptoms have gone away except the hip pain. The hip pain has gotten worse to the point that I have trouble walking. I did have an X-ray back in May when the pain was intermittent and not debilitating, but it only showed a small amount of arthritis. I have an appoint next week with an orthopedic doctor who specializes in hips. I am hoping he can figure out what is going on. My pain has increased considerably since the last Xray.
@lidiad it's funny, Evenity is the only med out of three I have taken that did not cause hair loss! My bangs started to grow again...Now on Reclast I seem to be losing again!
Oh no, I just had an infusion of Reclast. I hope I don’t lose more hair.
Oh gee @lidiad that was not my intention. Noone else I know has lost hair on Reclast and it isn't a listed side effect. I was just saying we are all so different. It could be a delayed reaction to Evenity since I have only had 2mg Reclast. I have lupus which could be an explanation too. So sorry!
No worries 🙂
Did anyone gain weight (5-7 lbs) on Evenity and lose it easily after they finished the 12 injections?
