Hello @topsz, You will notice that we added a little to your discussion title so members can find it easier and hopefully share their experience. Have you done any research on a specific clinical trial?
I am in a clinical trial for Tulsa Pro at Mayo Rochester. So far so good. My PSA was 8.6 prior to treatment and 3 months out is 0.68. I have had zero side effects. No incontinence and I was back to baseline erections in one week
Full write up of my treatment at:
Tulsa Pro Experience, Mayo Clinic MN – July 2024. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/tulsa-pro-experience-mayo-clinic-mn-july-2024/
Obviously time will tell on overall success but I am very happy with my journey so far.
Thanks for sharing @jcf58. I thought I would share the link for you so that members can read your experience - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/tulsa-pro-experience-mayo-clinic-mn-july-2024/.
Hi @topsz, Thanks for the private message. I thought I would respond here so that other members with some experience may be able to share with you. You mentioned you had two radiation treatments and it lowered the PSA numbers for a while but now levels are high again. Also the Antigen level is high, you are very anemic and Dr doesn’t want to do anything because of your anemia.
When I had anemia from donating too much blood too often, my doctor setup iron transfusions to raise my iron blood levels. Have you talked to your doctor about addressing the anemia?
Some clinical trials do not give you the drug that is most beneficial for your treatment, you either end up on a placebo or they don’t use that most beneficial drug and don’t allow it during the trial. Check with your oncologist to find out what drug would be most beneficial for you at that time. You don’t want to join a clinical trial that excludes it.
If you have tried just about everything and want to go into a clinical trial, that is really a good idea. Just investigate the purpose of the clinical trial and see if it matches what you need.
Yes, Pluvicto 2021-2022 worked well. No placebo involved.
It knocked the cancer down for about 2 years. It is now advancing, again and I'm repeating the 6 treatment program. So far, so good.
