I’ve had three surgeries for lichen sclerosis scar removal and found healing to be no worse than the disease itself. I would assume you’ll find the same or less with the treatment you’ll be receiving for the “opening up” for the cystoscopy. I used a frozen bottle of water on top of my pajama bottoms/panties for relief as needed. (And extra Clobetasol or Silversulfadine creams!) There are also cold pack sanitary pads for new mothers that are very helpful.

Don’t be afraid as you face this procedure. We’ve all had similar issues and fears, and are here to help support you. Big hug.🫂

Thanks to all who replied. You're the BEST!!! I've still not had aresponse from the doctor's office to get the surgery scheduled. I've sent two portal messages and made two phone calls. Unbelievable. I've stopped efforts for the time being as I have a GI appt tomorrow and oral surgery Wednesday. Next Monday I have Mohs surgery. Everything happened at once. As my flow has improved a bit (by using the estace cream daily I guess) it helped me get out of "panic" mode. After the 18th I'll start the contact efforts again. If necessary, I will drive to the office and make my presence known...
