I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

This one is from a friend who is concerned that I'm not adapting to my "new normal" after prostate cancer as fast or as well as I should be:

"The pain you'll go through accepting your new life is 100 times less than the pain you're suffering trying endlessly to hold on to your old one."

Mine is not especially profound but I say it often and it applies to many things:
Rinse now,
Scrub later;
Your choice.

Good strategy. That reminds me of something else I read to minimize tasks:

“OHIO - only handle it once.”

(If it’s in your hands, finish the task now. How often do we set stuff down to put away later?)
