I'm going to have a serious discussion with my cardiologist in early December. From all I have read and heard, it might that Repatha would be my best choice. Current Medicare drug plan does not cover it, but the one I signed up for in January does. Zetia is less expensive but not as effective at lowering LDL and seems to have more side effects? He mentioned those 2 meds as he knows I cannot and will not tolerate life on statins.

Pralurent Is a similar medication to Repatha Which I have been taking for about six months. I have very few if any side effects from it maybe just a little tired the next day it has lowered my LDL to the number 20!
