@isabelle7 thank you for this. I'm curious on where you read about just lifting 5 pounds of weight. I have been reading about Onero and other programs that when you have osteopososis you should be able to lift much more than that. Some doctors advise to start using weights and increasing the weight after you reach 15 reps with ease, Help! I'm confused. I'm hearing so many conflicting thoughts on weight training.

@yogagirl osteoporosis is really a spectrum, not a line. Some on here really need to avoid lifting much at all and others may be able to lift a helpful amount without problems. I have fractures and can't lift much at all. So for me any discussion of lifting feels dangerous! Clearly there are women with mild osteoporosis who are still benefiting from lifting weights. They may even still be ice-skating or riding a horse! I walk 🙂
