That's a very good question. I have had several echocardiograms over the past 10 years showing ascending aorta dilation of 4.1 cm (which is just over the line of normal). Neither I nor any of my doctors considered this. Maybe a right hand not knowing about the left hand situation with me in the middle being too ignorant or not clever enough to ask about it. I will investigate.

I will say that for six months after surgery I took daily viagra, and several times since. I had another echo at the end of those six months, with no change. But again, no one has ever brought it up.
