I have terrible side effects from statins, although my number went from 298 total to 196, then went to 3times a week atorvastatin and it went up slightly to 208. Due to all the pain I had, I asked for a statin break. It went back to 274 in 2 months, so now I'm looking at alternatives. Zetia was one the dr. suggested and it is covered by my insurance. All numbers are fine except for LDL. I'm hoping for the best and to be pain free as I am now without statins.
