The pacemaker is not used for Afib. I believe Afib is a not uncommon side effect after pacemaker surgery. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6221846/

Thank you for those links. I have read them and plan to discuss with my EP when I see him in a few days. From reading everything, it certainly sounds like I am more prone to AFib since my pacemaker.
My EP is suggesting an AV Node Ablation (I went back into AFib in January and had a cardioversion). I know after an AV Node Ablation I will then have to rely on my pacemaker. I would really like to hear from anyone who had an AV Node Ablation. What is their experience? I know it does not stop AFib, so I would like to hear from someone who had it. Thanks!
