I had continuing left knee pain after a replacement, the kind of pain that grinds deep inside. Although all professionals that I consulted said it was "a very odd presentation," it was finally traced to stenosis in my lumbar spine. I started going to UNC Pain Management in Chapel Hill, NC. After a trial to check effectiveness, I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted that controls that pain very well

Good for me to know as one of my pain doctors recommended a trial of a spinal cord stimulator for me. First I will try a specific kind of nerve block in the knee and then take it from there. My knee pain affects my walking and balance; I have to use a cane or walker everywhere I go and I still don't feel totally balanced.
