UTI and age

I have found that it is important to make sure no fecal material or liquid reaches the urethra. If this occurs even without your being aware of it a bladder infection will follow. I am careful to always wipe from the front to the rear. As I age I find that it requires I pay careful attention to this. As will, after a bowel movement I place a tissue in the rectum to prevent any mucus from coming out of the rectum and making its way to the urethra. Since doing this I have had zero bladder infections. I am 77 with lichen sclerosis and this care works for me.

Great idea about the tissue!

In addition, do you mean you place the tissue inside the rectum or on the outside area?
