Yes, my daughter has a complicated dynamic with prior ptsd and some asd traits. She is a very intelligent, educated person but due to being blind sided by this severe reaction to one dose of levoquon two years ago, is very weary of medical professionals. Trying to find a provider who would understand that this syndrome is real and "not all in her head" as the article you shared explains.

@marybloom60 Thank you for your response. That clarifies your initial posting that started this discussion. While the floroquinolone toxicity syndrome you mentioned likely added to and exacerbated her mental health symptoms it is now apparent that some of her symptoms precede in time the antibiotic that she was prescribed two years ago. This would be important and helpful information for the provider that she sees.

Might you or your daughter look at the Psychology Today website I posted above? She may find a psychologist, counselor, or social worker that can assist her.

Does she currently see a mental health provider in Rochester? Or has she seen anyone in the past who could refer her to someone in Rochester?
