Constipation is a common side affect of benzos. I have read a lot about the negative affects benzos can cause. Doctors don't want to accept the fact that benzos are really bad and can cause so many issues. There are hundreds of symptoms from benzos. The consensus is if you develop the symptom while taking benzos it will go away after you no longer take it. It may go away quickly or take a little time but it will go away. I have read many success stories. When I first figured out that benzos were causing my problems I started searching for any info I could find. The Ashton Manual is awesome! You can find it online and download it for free. It explains so much about the affects of benzos, it was written by Dr. Heather Ashton. Dr. Ashton ran a clinic in the UK that specialized in helping people break free from benzos. Sorry I am rambling but I hate benzos! They cause so many problems that people don't have a clue what is happening to them and doctors are NO help. There are many more it is a real problem not only in our country but the world and doctors are ignorant to it.
I get so frustrated sometimes because I did not need benzos but I did not know what was happening to me at the time.
I am so sorry you are suffering it could very well be from benzos. People have undergone test after test and nothing is found wrong because it is the benzos that is causing the problem.
I will hush I have rambled enough. I just hope that you get rid of the benzos and start feeling a lot better.
