Thank you for your response. It appears that they did improve the program since then. I did find it ironic that they emphasized the need for pacing while failing to allow us to pace during the presentation. So, I chuckled too.
I took both classes but spaced them a few weeks apart as by the end of the 3rd hour I’m not sure I retained much. They do a 10 minute break every 45 mins or so but I was exhausted it didn’t really help.
I need to schedule my appointments now with wellness coach so hoping that’s helpful.
I had tried LDN but as I increased the dose my headaches came back with a bang and I had such nausea I was taking zofran round the clock. Dr Mueller told me to stop taking it, wasn’t worth the headaches n nausea.
Thanks - this is great information - one more question - were these classes covered by your health insurance? I would imagine they are quite expensive and don't want any surprise huge bill for them. Any input appreciated.
What did the classes cover, if I may ask? Anything "new"? I devoured medical abstracts for months on end but haven't done much lately. The "experts" do not seem to have happened upon a treatment or even a treatment protocol.
My health insurance did cover it, but you better check yours. Being a Presbyterian pastor won't get you rich but it does get you good insurance.
Great question. Haven’t got the bill yet so stay tuned.
If I could remember….. LOL
No new info really just things we’re already aware of. Ways to pace and save energy in daily’s tasks, eating healthy. Different relaxation techniques. Etc
LOL Ok- thank you.
And then see the desk for payment right? A lot of people can’t even work. SSDI want to see what they are doing to help and what’s next. Meanwhile your ill, have no income, losing whatever you do have ( home, selfish family that have nothing really going on) and your sick, close to being homeless and for some you don’t even know how this all happened or where you are anymore. Yes this is happening because people label some as crazy and calling them liars bc they go to work in pain everyday. When you explain your symptoms and try to express the intensity and how Random things happen out of the blue, they shake their head look at you like you’re an alien. Tell their story to others and before you know what you’re a monster. I have read this so many different places and it’s really sad. Tell the doctors they need to do something to make other people aware of what’s really going on with all these symptoms of Covid and mild and how bad they really are and all the symptoms hardly any I’ve got a list page long proven by clinics doctors specialist. But they don’t even take the time to do that. It starts with support if you don’t have support, it, adds the anxiety and the depression . And those poor people find themselves in places mentally they never thought they would be. Some of them places can be quite scary specially when you’re all alone and look down because you’re sick with the virus that you never asked to have and all you want is to feel normal again.
Hi iamawriter, I attended the Mayo Long Covid classes in June 2024 and found them to be very informative. They initially go over what is known about LC such as the physiological basis for how the virus acts in the body. Then they spend a good amount of time with suggestions based on theirs and others' treatments for LC symptoms. And of course there is time for questions. Hope this gives you the answer you are looking for. They put the class curriculum and handouts on the portal so I printed out a good amount of it and use it for reference now.
