Hair Loss Remedies for Thinning Hair on aromatase inhibitors?
Hi! I’m about to start endocrine therapy (AI plus Lupron) and am wondering if anyone has used any topical creams that helped with hair thinning, something I am afraid of (along w all the other side effects)!

Hi. May I ask if you are taking Viviscal or Viviscal Pro? I am on Exemestrane for four years now and my hair is getting so thin. I have an appointment with a dermatologist but it's not for four more months. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
Just the regular Viviscal, not the Pro.
My hair does have somewhat of what my hairdresser describes as a furry texture. I can put up with that since I no longer see pink scalp whenever I look in the mirror.
I am also experiencing thinning hair on Exemestane - only on it for 6 months for the hair loss to show up. Every time I wash my hair, it comes out in handfuls in the drain. I am afraid at this rate, I will have no hair at the end of 5 months. What are the ingredients in Viviscal? Is it estrogenic? Others are promoting Nutrafol - it has a herbal formula that may interfere with AIs. Afraid to take a hair supplement. Right now - applying rosemary oil topically.
I had chemo and taking Letrozole for 8 years. My hair has gotten much thinner with letrozole. Very difficult to manage. I have tried all kinds of thickening products but did not address my problem.
Read some had success with minoxidil 2.5mg dose a day. It is not an overnight treatment. It takes 6 months to a year to begin to see results. But I am so pleased to find something that works for me. This is the same drug that is in Rogaine foam treatment but much easier to use as a pill. I highly recommend for thinning hair.
Letrozal was created by a devil. Four fingers Ruined. And it doesn’t help much.
I’ll take the memos an MRI anytime.
No hair loss from mani.
Viviscal was recommended to me by my medical oncologist. I 100% trust her to know what's safe to take with an AI
I agree. I took letrozole for 3 weeks and had to have bilateral carpel tunnel surgery. My hands are stiff now.
