Welcome, @kayabbott. So nice to meet you.

Sounds like you enjoy the outdoors as much as I do. It looks like fall in New Jersey today...but summer is hanging on and refusing to go! It is almost 81 degrees! Happy for the kids, though, who will be going out to trick or treat! It is a lovely fall day, nonetheless!

I am curious about woodturning. What kinds of items do you make? Do you paint them or keep them natural. I met one woodturner many years ago. I remember he made some symbols of Church related items and brought them to his church.

I like dark chocolate, too.

Again, glad you are hear. Would like to hear more about your woodturning!

We got our first snow yesterday; 45 degrees today and still a lot of colored leaves on trees. I turn a lot of different things, bowls, lamps, pepper grinders, mostly artistic stuff. Most is natural or a mix of woods and paints. Woodturning is great for upper body strength and for hand/eye coordination. Downside is you turn into a wood hoarder (never know when you might need that scrap).
