You're very welcome Leslie.

It seems that bbrebozo went through something very similar to your situation. bbrebozo wrote an excellent summary of what was done, and ultimately the big toe joint was fused.

I think that if you do the fusion, you will feel much better. The toe will be shorter because a lot of bone was removed for the joint replacement.

And yes, please find a new surgeon. It surprises me that an orthopedic surgeon would recommend a toe joint replacement. But that's in the past - so find a new Dr and please let us know how you are doing.

Thank you, unfortunately my Doctor apparently is t an orthopedic surgeon? Now that he took out the toe joint replacement my toe is very short, I don’t know if anything else can be done but I will try to find an orthopedic to talk with.
